Nigeria Amaka Ogoegbunam Pushes World Champion Schippers To WL10.95s

A 400m hurles 2015 Brazzaville All African Game champion, Nigeria Amaka Ogogbunam started this season on friday {14} on surprising note. She decided to try the 100m as her season opener. At the Bryan Clay Invitation, Amaka tried to do what no Nigerian has done in recent time to beat a 200m world champion. But her effort only pushed the Netherlands and Europian sprint queen to finished from lane 4 to a world leading 10.95s while spirited effort of Amaka only earn her 7th place.

Some Nigerian that has impressed since the bigginning of the season are;  Paul Dedewo who is 7th in the world ranking with his time of 20.40s in 200m ran last week. While Jennifer Madu has ran 11.31s to place 16th on world ranking with Stephanie Kalu 11.35s on number 22nd on the world ranking.
