South Africa Offers Athletes Relief Fund Over Covid-19

The South Africa sport minister Nathi Mthethwa created a relief fund few days ago called Covid-19 Sport, Arts And Culture Relief Fund to meet the loses suffered by athletes, coaches and other stakeholders.

To access this fund, the athletes are to submit their claim by filling an application form before April 6. The athletes concerned are the ones who are part of national Preparatory Squad for 2020 season who were due to compete in Tokyo Olympics, World Championship and African Championship ; all of which have been postponed. Also covers claim arising from ASA national and provincial events which have also been postponed due to covid-19 especially between 6th April to end of June when the South Africa president declared State of Disaster.
