Is Leroy Burrel’s Son Cameron Dead?

The question on all athletics followers is whether the news of sudden passed away of 26 years old Cameron Burrel could be true after news filtered out on the Instagram earlier today. Cameron was found lying dead on the floor in his room this morning. Presently it’s early to actualizes whether it’s a case of suicide or not.

In his time he ran for the United States 4 × 100 m relay team at the World Junior Championships in 2012 and the World Relays in 2019, with the team earning gold and silver from each competition respectively. Additionally Burrell anchored the U.S. 4 × 100 m relay team to gold at the inaugural Athletics World Cup in 2018.

Became NCAA 100m champion in 2018 and helped the Houston Cougars win the 4x100m relay in 2017 and 2018. He is the son of Olympic gold medalist and former 100m world record holder Leroy Burrell.

On June 8, 2017, he became the 121st person to break the 100m 10s mark with a time of 9.93 seconds, one hundredth of a second more than the school record set by his father five years prior to Cameron was born. A year later, he repeated this feat at the American Championship.

Cameron Burrell was born on September 11, 1994. His father is Leroy Burrell, the 100-meter world record holder and Olympic gold medalist Michel Fin-Breall. He has two brothers, Joshua and Jaden. Growing up, Cameron Burrell was surrounded by track and field sports; In addition to her parents’ athletic backgrounds, her aunt Dawn Burrell was also the 2001 world indoor long jump champion. Her father’s teammate and close friend is Carl Lewis, who has known Cameron all his life. .
